BESPOKE & OTHER SERVICES

Bespoke work

My passion lies in creating beautiful, nature-inspired jewellery so if you’re after a custom piece of jewellery that fits this, a variation on something we already offer, or wedding rings, do get in touch, I’d love to discuss this with you.

I work in sterling silver, 9-carat or 18-carat gold (in any of the three colours - yellow, white or rose). I’m afraid I no longer take on commissions involving gemstones or remodelling jobs.

Repairs & Ring Re-sizing

Got a beloved necklace with a broken clasp or chain? A bent earring with a post missing? . . .

I offer simple repairs and ring re-sizing on silver and gold jewellery without gemstones, from my Rutland workshop. Scroll to the bottom of the page and hit ‘get in touch’ to discuss further.

HOW THE BESPOKE PROCESS WORKS

If you already have a specific design in mind – great, get in touch and we can talk through what you’d like.

If you don’t, I always ask that you try to collect together a few images showing the sort of style you are after – these don’t have to be of jewellery, just anything related that will give me a starting point from which to put together designs for you to look at. Other things to consider are:-

  • Ring, necklace, earrings or bracelet etc . . .

  • The metal you would like the jewellery to be made from:

    Sterling silver

Gold - plated or solid | yellow, white or rose | 9 carat or 18 carat

  • Size of the jewellery – something small and dainty, big and chunky or somewhere in the middle?

  • If it’s a ring, do you know the finger size?

  • Budget

Once I’ve got as many details as possible, I will spend time putting together initial designs and quotes for you to consider. These will usually include about 3 different design options and I can quote for different metal options if required.

If you love one of the designs then we can go ahead, or if not, we can further develop the ideas to reach something that is perfect for you.

Once a design is agreed and finalised, I please ask for a deposit before I start the work with the remaining payable on collection. This deposit will be 50% for a total price of £300 or less, and 75% for a total price of more than £300.

The general time-frame for making a bespoke piece of jewellery (excluding design and quotation) is around 6-8 weeks, but it can be shorter or longer than this depending on the complexity and techniques used.

Prices start from £55 for a simple 2D pendant in sterling silver and from £240 for a 3D sterling silver pendant.

“Lucy made a pendant from some photos of one of my wife's teddy bears. Wife and Son recognised Artie immediately, so she certainly caught the likeness! Attentive service, to time and to budget”. – Jeremy (bespoke silver teddy bear necklace)

“Will proposed using your gorgeous ring on holiday to Cornwall this week and I just wanted to say thank you. It’s beautiful. Very special. I love the in the making photos too.” – Emma (bespoke 18ct gold and diamond engagement ring)

“The bracelet has arrived... thank you so very much, it’s exactly what I was hoping for! You are a very talented lady!” – Marcia (bespoke silver butterfly bracelet)
